Our world is calling for something new. Its angry, frightened people are calling, its poisoned rivers and devastated forests are calling. Everywhere we look, we encounter another call for something new...for a sense of hope and transformation. We believe the answer to this call is a fusion of spirituality and activism......of soul and service. In order for our action to be powerful and lastingly effective, it must arise from consciousness that demonstrates the desired outcome. We must be it in order to see it.

Teilhard de Chardin wrote, "Someday, after mastering the wind, the rains, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then for the second time in the history of the world, humanity will have discovered fire."

We believe that a new and better world is possible. Sacred activism's historical roots and modern manifestations of what Martin Luther King Jr. called 'Love in Action' and what Gandhi called 'Soul Force'; we are calling 'JourneysFire.' Now more than ever, we need to learn how to become peaceful within while taking compassionate action. When we appreciate and honor the beauty of life, we will do everything in our power to protect all life.
